Bout to get them new lights!

I posted in NASIOC a for trade thread a week or so ago, to trade my tinted taillights for soe 04/05 tail lights.

I finally got a bite, and am shipping mine out today!

I have wanted that style of taillights for soooo long, I am so stoked! and they are red, since I decided that I do not like them tinted

yay. blobeye taillights are the best thing you can do on 06+. i felt like a kid in a candy store the day i traded mine Laughing

I like the 06 wrx tails. I will probably trade my sti tails for my wrx tails.

Yup... 05 tails are the best. I had a pretty easy time finding them. Wingless trunk swap anybody?

I really think it has to do with the color of the car. For instance, I think they look terrible on wrb, cgm, and black, but on red, white, and mainly ugm they've really grown on me, and I wouldn't swap. Although the 05 tails do look good on the majority of colors. But imo, I love the way my tails look against ugm. Plus, I really like the way the brake lights look, and how bright the reverse lights are on the 06s.

I just put them in, and will post pics later.

the passenger side had water in it, and I found the seal at the top to be loose, so I resealed it with some gorilla glue and electrical tape. I then proceeded to use a heat gun to dry out the insides, which worked great!

-Until I realized I was chatting with my neighbor while heating them, and melted one of the holes where the bulb goes in. Long story short, I fixed the hole, and now have a burnt finger.

come on matt show us those tails of yours!! Lol. There was a bunch of guys on nabisco that wanted to trade me for my stock tails. I like the 04/05 the best (next to mine =)"

offer cash on top. i tried for a year to just do a straight trade. finally gave up and offered cash & got an offer w/i a few hours.
